Many people may not yet be aware that a Blyth Neighbourhood Plan Referendum is taking place on Thursday 10 September 2026, with polling open from 7:00am until 10:00pm.![]()

This is not an election for councillors. Residents will be asked whether Northumberland County Council should use the Blyth Neighbourhood Plan when making future decisions about planning and development in the town.![]()
